Arab Tuna Stew
Arab Tuna Stew

This is a hearty stew perfect for dinner; with tuna, potatoes, carrots and tomatoes.

Preparation Time: 30 minutes approximately
Cooking Time: 30 minutes approximately
Serves: 2 persons

All you need

2 cans al alali Fancy Meat Tuna in Olive Oil
4 large onions
4 cloves garlic crushed
2 tsps. lemon juice
3 whole lemons
2 tbsps. Turmeric
2 large tomatoes
1/2 cup corn oil
1/4 tsp al alali Ground Cinnamon
1/2 tsp cumin powder
Salt to taste
1 1/2 tsps. al alali Tomato Paste
2 small potatoes
1 carrot
1 bunch coriander
6-8 cups water
Oil for frying

Directions

  1. Cut tuna into chunks. Set aside
  2. Chop the coriander, onions and tomatoes
  3. Cut potatoes and carrots into chunks
  4. In a medium size pan, heat oil and sauté al alali Fancy Meat Tuna for few minutes. Set aside in a soup pot
  5. Add onion, garlic and lemon juice to pan and fry until light brown color. Add spices, salt, tomatoes and tomato paste
  6. Sauté for 2-4 minutes, add the remaining ingredients. Add salt to taste
  7. Cook on low heat for 10 to 15 minutes
  8. Decorate with lemon slices and serve hot
