Musakan Rolls with Olive Oil

Enjoy the famous Palestinian musakhan in a different way. Great snack and lovely starter!

Preparation Time: 30 minutes approximately
Cooking Time: 50 minutes approximately
Serves: 6 persons

All you need

1 Kg boiled chicken, cut into small pieces
3 large onions cut into cubes
1 1/2 cups extra virgin olive oil
4-5 saj bread
3 tbsps. pine-seeds fried with half spoon extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp. al alali Ground White Pepper
1 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. al alali Ground Cinnamon
Salt to taste
1/3 cup sumac
1/4 cup chicken broth prepared from al alali Chicken Stock

Directions

In a saucepan, heat olive oil, fry onions, add sumac, salt and spices. Set aside, then add chicken, pine-seeds and chicken broth.

Cut bread into triangles, add one tablespoon of chicken mixture in the bottom of the triangle, sprinkle sumac and roll the bread.

Brush Musakan rolls with olive oil, place in a tray and bake until golden.

Serve with yoghurt and enjoy!
