Fatteh is the perfect evening meal during Ramadan. This delicious dish is popular throughout the Middle East.

Preparation Time: 15 minutes approximately
Cooking Time: 1 hour approximately
Serves: 4 persons

All you need

3 Arabic breads, small
4 chicken thighs
2 cups of chicken broth prepared from al alali Chicken Stock
1 onion, cut in 4 pieces
500 g yoghurt
4 tbsps. tahini
1 tbsp. al alali Garlic Powder
Lemon to taste
Salt to taste
al alali Ground Black Pepper to taste
4 tbsps. al alali Parsley Flakes
Pine seeds
al alali Paprika

Directions

  • In a large pot, boil chicken, add onions, salt and al alali Ground Black Pepper. Reduce heat, let the broth simmer slowly for 45 to 60 minutes
  • Cut Arabic bread into 1-inch pieces
  • Separate chicken meat from bone and cut into small pieces
  • To prepare the topping, in a bowl, mix yoghurt, tahineh, al alali Garlic Powder, squeeze of lemon and salt
  • To prepare the dish, in a bowl, place shredded bread and chicken. Add some yoghurt sauce along with the prepared al alali Chicken Stock, mix well
  • Spread the remaining yoghurt on top of the mixture
  • Garnish with some roasted pine seeds, al alali Parsley Flakes and al alali Paprika
  • Serve and enjoy!
