Homemade Tahini Halva
A nostalgic Middle Eastern treat with a rich sesame flavor and a texture that practically melts in your mouth. Best of all, it's made with simple ingredients and no preservatives! 👌🔥
🥣 Ingredients
🥄 2 cups tahini
🥄 1 cup powdered milk
🥄 1 cup powdered sugar
🥄 2 tablespoons honey (optional, for improved texture and flavor)
🥄 ½ cup chopped nuts (pistachios, almonds, or hazelnuts – optional)
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ In a large bowl, mix the tahini and honey until smooth and fully combined.
2️⃣ Gradually add the powdered milk and powdered sugar, stirring continuously until the mixture becomes thick, crumbly, and resembles traditional halva.
3️⃣ If using nuts, fold them into the mixture until evenly distributed.
4️⃣ Line a loaf pan or container with parchment paper. Transfer the mixture into the pan and press it down firmly to create an even surface.
5️⃣ Refrigerate for 3–4 hours, or until completely firm.
6️⃣ Slice into squares and serve with fresh bread, toast, or enjoy on its own. 😍✨
💡 Tip:
If the mixture feels too soft, add a little more powdered milk. If it becomes too dry, add an extra spoonful of tahini until you reach the perfect consistency. 🌸
