Ingredients:

3 cups flour (preferably high-quality bread flour)
1 tbsp instant yeast
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
About 1 cup warm water (adjust as needed)
1 tbsp oil (optional, for softer dough)

Method:

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.

  2. Gradually add the water while kneading until you get a soft, smooth dough. Adjust with a little more water or flour if needed.

  3. Add the oil (if using) and knead it into the dough.

  4. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 30–45 minutes, or until it doubles in size.

  5. After rising, shape the dough into medium balls or pieces and roll them into relatively thin circles.

  6. Heat a heavy pan or griddle over medium-high heat.

  7. Place the dough pieces on the hot pan, letting them puff up and lightly brown on both sides.

  8. Once cooked with slight golden spots, remove from the pan and serve warm with your favorite dishes
