Irresistible Crispy Shawarma Strips Crepe


Try it once and you’ll keep making it!

Crepe Ingredients:

  • 2¼ cups warm water
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 3¼ cups flour

Chicken Shawarma Ingredients:

  • 3 chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 2 tbsp yogurt
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ¼ tsp turmeric
  • ¼ tsp cardamom
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp ghee

👩‍🍳 How to Prepare:

First: The Crepe

  1. In a large bowl, mix the warm water, milk, egg, and a pinch of black pepper.

  2. Add salt, vinegar, oil, then gradually add the flour while stirring continuously until the mixture becomes smooth with no lumps.

  3. Heat a non-stick pan, brush it with a little oil, pour some batter, and spread it evenly.

  4. Cook for about 1 minute on each side until lightly golden.

Second: Chicken Shawarma

  1. In a bowl, add the chicken along with the yogurt and all the spices, then mix very well.

  2. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. Heat the ghee and oil in a pan, add the marinated chicken, and cook until fully done and golden.

🥙 Serving:

Place some chicken shawarma inside the crepe, roll it up, and serve it with garlic sauce and fries.
