Ghraybeh - Arabic Butter Cookies |
Ghraybeh is one of the most delicious Syrian desserts. Its preparation is easy and delicate at the same time.

Serves: 6 persons
All you need
454 g butter
2 cups white flour
1 cup al alali Icing Sugar
1/2 tsp. al alali Baking Powder
Directions
- In a ball, Blend the butter with electric mixer creamy fluffy and white, gradually add al alali Icing Sugar, al alali Baking Powder, and continue blending until you have a soft and smooth dough
- Form the dough into small balls, place them apart on the baking tray to avoid sticking together while baking
- Place a pineseed on each ball for garnishing, bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15 to 20 minutes. Closely watch the ghraybeh to avoid color change. Set aside to cool
- Place in a serving plate
- Serve and enjoy!
