Minced Meat Moussaka Casserole – Restaurant Style!


If you love rich, hearty moussaka with perfectly fried eggplants, flavor-packed meat sauce, and a delicious golden top… this casserole will impress anyone! 

Ingredients:

  • 2–3 medium eggplants
  • 400g minced beef
  • 400g tomato sauce
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Salt, black pepper, meat spices
  • A pinch of thyme or basil (optional)
  • Mozzarella or Romano cheese for topping (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Slice the eggplants into rounds and fry them until golden.

  2. Sauté the onion until soft, then add the minced meat and season well. Cook until browned.

  3. Add the tomato sauce, crushed garlic, and a little water. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.

  4. In a baking dish: add a layer of meat sauce, then a layer of fried eggplant. Repeat the layers.

  5. Top with a little sauce and cheese if you like, then bake until the top is browned and bubbling.

  6. Serve hot… and the taste? Absolutely incredible!
