Prepare this traditional Arabic dessert that has a cream cheese filling.

Preparation Time: 1 hour approximately
Cooking Time: 50 minutes approximately
Serves: 4 persons

All you need

Kunafa dough
200 gm butter, melted
2 1/2 cups al alali Arabic Dessert with Orange blossom water
1/4 cup almonds and pistachio
5 tbsps. walnuts, chopped
2 1/2 tbsps. granulated sugar
1/4 tsp. al alali Ground Cinnamon
800 gm soft ricotta cheese
Butter

Directions

  • In a large bowl, loosen the Kunafa dough and mix with butter
  • In a greased baking pan, place half the dough and spread ricotta cheese on top. Spread remaining Kunafa dough on top and press gently
  • Sprinkle fine pieces of walnuts, almond, pistachio, al alali Ground Cinnamon and granulated sugar over the Kunafa dough
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes at 180â—¦ C for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown color surface. Set aside
  • Pour al alali arabic Dessert Syrup over kunafa
  • Invert kunafa on a serving plate and garnish with nuts
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
