¼ cup oil

4 cups flour

For the topping:

Milk (for brushing)

For the filling:

White cheese, cut into small cubes

Method

1. In a bowl, add warm water, yeast, sugar, and ½ cup of flour. Mix well and let it sit for 3 minutes to activate.

2. Add oil, salt, and baking powder, then mix.

3. Add the remaining flour and knead very well until you get a soft, smooth dough.

4. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.

5. Shape the dough into small balls, fill each one with a piece of cheese, and arrange them in an oiled baking tray.

6. Let them rest for another 15 minutes, then brush the tops with milk and sprinkle sesame or black seeds if desired.

7. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 15 minutes on the middle rack.

8. Once the bottom is golden, turn on the top heat (broiler) to brown the surface lightly.

9. When they come out of the oven, cover them for 10 minutes so they stay super soft and fluffy.

10. Enjoy the most delicious, cotton-soft honeycomb bread!
